The Gear AF90
is a CNC Gear Hobbing Machine with 6 axes control.
The AF90 is equipped with our advanced current technology Leste 6 axes CNC-control and is designed to hob pinions, splines and wheels.

High productivity and compact size
The AF90 gear hobber offers an advanced compact small foot print with a rigid base construction design. The AF90 design is a cost effective solution for the replacement of old and/or obsolete conventional machines (e.g. mechanical change gear and electro-mechanical NC types) without reorganizing precious workshop floor-space.
In addition to the advanced compact design, the AF90 is one of the most productive machines offered in the market: thanks to reduced downtimes and a hob spindle speed of up to 16,000 rpm, the AF90 can replace the production output of up to 4 conventional machines!
Simple and user-friendly
The AF90 controls the hob cutting tool and workpieces with 3 direct driven motor spindles. The synchronization of the spindles are performed automatically by the CNC control using simple part geometric programmed inputs: e.g. Z=number of teeth to be cut, module/dp, β helix, major and minor diameters, which makes for quick and easy part setups.
Precision
The AF90’s linear axes are equipped with optical encoded linear scales with a resolution of 1.0μm. Add to this, liquid cooling and the stability of our castings with a consistent thermal coefficient of expansion and part diameters will not change more than 4.0 μm over a 24h production – even without air conditioning environment!

The AF90 can be equipped with different part loading and unloading systems as described in the following chapter.
